BD New Chairman Announced

Widely regarded as the doyenne of British dressage, Jennie Loriston-Clarke is British Dressage’s new chairman.
She takes over from Desi Dillingham, who was initially brought on board for six months to help start up BD when it became independent from the British Horse Society in January 1998.
Jennie said: “I feel a bit over-awed at the moment. It is amazing what the team at BD is doing and it is exciting to be taking on such a successful team that has grown the sport from nothing to such a financially sound set-up. I am looking forward to getting involved and understanding the various issues, which I intend to address in due course.”
Jennie has been one of the most influential dressage riders, trainers, judges and breeders in the history of the sport in this country.
Jennie’s long list of achievements led to her receiving an MBE in 1979 and she was awarded the first ever Queen’s Award for Outstanding Services to Equestrianism in 2006.
