STARS OF DRESSAGE FLOCK TO OLYMPIA
The entries for this year’s only British FEI World Cup Dressage Qualifier, which will be held at Olympia in December, are so strong that the organisers have taken the unusual step of announcing them in advance of the entries closing.
The Dressage show which forms the first two days at Olympia, The London International Horse Show (13th-19th December) was voted* the third best Dressage World Cup Show in the world, in its first year last year – an amazing achievement.
Riders from eight nations have already entered, with more invitations still awaiting formal entries, including the British who are in the process of selecting their riders.
The organisers have received a “fantastic response” from established World Cup Riders wanting to bring their top horses including Gina Capellman-Lütkemeier (GER), Kristy Oatley-Nist (AUS), Dr Elena Kalinina (RUS), Kyra Kyrkland (FIN), Anne Van Olst-Koch (DEN), Lone Jörgensen (DEN) as well as riders from France, USA and the Netherlands.
The Ground Jury will be Gustaf Svalling (GER) President, Stephen Clarke (GBR), David Trott (GBR), Vicenzo Truppa (ITA), Linda Zang (USA). (Jennie Loriston-Clarke will be Res Judge and Appeal Committee)
The Dressage Grand Prix will take place on the evening of Tuesday, 13th December, and the all-important Kür (dressage to music) will be held on the following evening, Wednesday 14th December.
From 15th to 19th December show jumping comes to the fore and there will be two performances per day. For further information see the website at www.olympiahorseshow.com and sign up for the free e-newsletter which will keep you posted on all the latest news from the show.
The very best way to enjoy both evenings will be from the comfort of a Private Box and packages are available now by contacting Jane Charley on +44 (0)1753 847900.
