Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer rode her 17hh 12-year-old Danish gelding Mistral Hojris to victory in the grand prix with 71.13% at Hagen CDI in Germany, 27 April-1 May 2007.
Laura, who also finished ninth with 65.8% in “Alf’s” first grand prix freestyle, said: “It has been a good educational experience for him as he spooks easily; there was a lot for him to see and hear. He has come on so much mentally over the past few shows. In the grand prix, I was going for a safe, clean test because I wanted him more settled than he has been at the past couple of shows and it came off well.”
