Fans of Anky van Grunsven will get the opportunity to see her not only compete at Olympia, The London International Horse Show (16th-22nd December) but also offer a Masterclinic in dressage.
The 2008 Beijing Olympics gold medal winning partnership of Anky and Salinero will be competing on Tuesday 16th December in the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Qualifier Grand Prix, and upon qualification will go through to the FEI World Cup Dressage Kür on Wednesday evening, both supported by Horse & Hound.
Before the Kür on Wednesday evening, Anky will be taking time out from her final preparations to share her expertise with the audience in a dressage Masterclinic. Focusing on specific test movements required for the Kür, she will demonstrate on one of her young, up-and-coming stars, how she teaches her horses to execute flying changes, the half pass, piaffe, passage and extended trot.
Anky won the Dressage Grand Prix and Kür at Olympia in 2007 and is hoping to repeat her success this year.
Anky says: “I always enjoy Olympia and have been lucky enough over the past few years to compete as well as take part in such demonstrations.”
The dressage Masterclinic by Anky van Grunsven will take place during the evening performance on Wednesday 17th December at around 6:35pm.
