Maria and Michael Eilberg Triumph

Having used gastric health supplements, Equine Gold and Gastro Gold on their horses for the past 2 years dressage stars Maria and Michael Eilberg approached the manufacturer, Biotal, about sponsorship earlier this year. It was a happy coincidence that Maria won and Michael came fourth in the Biotal Medium Open Championship at the Dressage Deluxe National Dressage Championships last week.
The children of top International dressage rider and trainer Ferdi and his wife Geri Eilberg, Maria and Michael have ridden from a young age and are based at their family home in Redditch. Maria proved herself to be a dedicated and talented dressage rider from the word go; aged 11 she won the Under 13 Dressage Championship and went on to become overall Champion at 13. Since then Maria has continued to rise to the top and was selected as reserve for the Olympics last year. On her return from Beijing Maria became overall National Grand Prix Champion on Two Sox at the 2008 National Dressage Championships and is proving to be a star of the sport. This year she was a member of the Bronze medal winning team at the European Championships.
Michael won his first national title at this year’s Winter Dressage Championships having only recently moved from show jumping to dressage. He retained his title of Advanced Medium Champion at the National Dressage Championships last week. From a young age Michael was happy to learn from his own experiences whereas Maria was keen on instruction. In spite of their separate learning curves both riders are on their way to the top.
