Ssangyong National Carriage Driving Championships Including the Dodson & Horrell Open Single Horse Championship.
16th – 18th September 2005.
You are invited to enjoy the “ultimate driving experience” at the country’s biggest carriage driving competition.
Competitors from all over the country will converge for this most prestigious annual National Championship which this year is sponsored by Ssangyong Motor Company.
The championships will take place on Queen Victoria’s Review Ground in Windsor Great Park and are very privileged to have as their Patron H R H The Duke of Edinburgh, himself a very successful competitor.
Over three days some one hundred & fifty drivers and in excess of two hundred and fifty horses and ponies will compete to become a National Champion.
On Saturday only the event also hosts the Windsor Classic Car Show with over three hundred entries expected supported by an interesting auto jumble.
As well as the demanding driving trials – show driving will also be on offer in the main arenas along with some alternative displays.
Three days of true family entertainment – complete with shopping village and craft marquee. A play area with bouncy castle and rides etc. will keep the small visitors happy. A chance also for visitors to view cars from the exciting Ssangyong range and arrange test drives.
On Sunday the main ring will also feature sheepdog displays with Elaine Hill & the famous St Giles horse drawn fire engine during the competition breaks.
Tickets are available each day on the gate at £5 per adult ( free entry for children) with unlimited free parking and a great range of catering outlets .
