BE launches seven training competitions aimed at new eventers

To help bridge the gap to affiliated eventing, British Eventing is offering eight training classes located around the UK, sponsored by Tri-zone®.
Trialled last year at two events, the classes were so popular that BE has increased training level competitions regionally to provide more opportunities for riders wanting to have a go at eventing.
Tri-zone® Training classes will run at Scotsburn (24 May), Ascott-under-Wychwood 1 (1 June), Ascott-under-Wychwood 2 (12 July), Stafford 2 (20 July), Little Mattingley (26 July), Pullborough (5 October) and West Wilts (20 Sep). BE Sport Director, Mike Etherington-Smith says: “Tri-zone® Training Classes are specifically aimed at encouraging competitors to take that first step onto the eventing ladder in a safe and fun environment. The dressage is not too daunting and the maximum height of any fence is 80cm.
“Competitors can be assured of high-quality courses and well-run events which are run under BE rules.”
To get people started, British Eventing is offering a one-off £10 Special Day Ticket for new horse and rider combinations.
Some events are also offering Train for Training days, a three-phase clinic with BE accredited trainers. Confirmed venues are as follows:

The full day consists of dressage, show jumping and cross country training with two BE accredited trainers and costs £75 or £35 if you wish to do cross country only.
