Changes at Bramham International Horse Trials

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Following a recent review of the management structure at Bramham Estate, the position of Event Director for the International Three Day Event will now be amalgamated into the role of the Estate Manager, currently held by Nicholas Pritchard, MRICS. Nicholas’s Directorship will be supported by two dedicated full-time members of staff including Jane Conyers, who was extensively involved this year, and a new administrative assistant with experience and knowledge of eventing will be recruited.

Nicholas is in his first year as the Estate Manager but has already made some significant and beneficial changes to the grounds and parkland and was a key part of this year’s successful fixture. Later in August, he will be the link between the Estate and the Organising team of the Leeds Festival, one of the country’s largest music festivals. Nicholas commented; “The International Horse Trials at Bramham presents me with a huge challenge as part of my already diverse role. I am really looking forward to continuing the good work of others before me and building on the successes, whilst maintaining all of the attributes which make Bramham so special.”

Tim Hadaway, recently appointed as Competition Manager for Equestrian Events at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, will continue in his advisory role on the competition, ground, facilities and technical aspects of Yorkshire’s largest equestrian fixture.

Bramham President Nick Lane Fox paid tribute to the 2008 Event Director, Debora Homewood. “On behalf of the Estate and all involved with the Horse Trials, I’d like to thank Debora for the huge amount of work she has put in to the event over the past couple of years and for this we are extremely grateful. I wish her all the best in the future and in any new areas she pursues.”

The Bramham International Horse Trials 2009 wil l run a week later than was originally published. Dates are: 11 - 14 June 2009
