Thirlestane Castle International Horse Trials

Following a thorough review of Thirlestane Castle International Horse Trials by its Board of Directors, the decision has sadly been taken to not run the event next year.
Thirlestane Castle International Horse Trials (15-17 Aug) has enjoyed a fantastic 25 years, and this year was one to be remembered, with Team and Individual Gold Medals for the British Juniors at the European Championships.
British Eventing Regional Director for Scotland, Iain Graham said: “We are really grateful to the Board of Directors, Jamie Innes and his team, and all the volunteers for their huge contribution to the sport over the last 25 years. It has been a major event in the calendar and will be sadly missed.
“British Eventing will now look for another venue to host the Championships in 2009.”
