Burghley Stallion Parade
Tuesday, June 03, 2008
The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials from 4-7 September 2008 and the Lead Body for British Performance Sport Horses and Ponies (PSHP) are staging a stallion parade in the main ring on dressage day, Thursday 4 September.
Up to 15 ridden event horse sires which are all graded will parade at lunchtime in a spectacle for all visitors to the horse trials, giving breeders plenty of time to pick their sires for next breeding season.
Says Event Director Elizabeth Inman, “the British Equestrian Federation and PSHP have been working with the industry to improve the quality and breeding of our horses and ponies. We are pleased to be linking with them to showcase these stallions for the future of sport horse breeding”
