 Pony Club Championships

THE PONY CLUB IN FULL SWING

The riding stars of the future are doing battle at the blue ribbon events of the junior equine world, The Pony Club Championships.

The 44,000 strong organisation is the training ground for Olympic hopefuls.  Former Members include the members of the British Eventing and Show Jumping Teams as well as members of the Dressage and Modern Pentathlon teams.

The Tetrathlon Championships, the Pony Club discipline that has produced Olympic Modern Pentathaletes Kate Allenby and Georgina Harland and latterly Charlie Unwin (Suffolk Hunt Branch) who completed at the World Championships in Warsaw, take place at Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire 19th-21st August.

The Pony Club Championships at Sansaw Park, Shropshire from 23rd-25th August hosts Mounted Games, Dressage & Dressage to Music, Individual & Team Show Jumping, a Horse & Pony Care Competition as well as the Eventing Championships.  The Championships are well supported by Champion Headwear, Alsters Kelley, Strongid-P, Salmon Products and Lawnflite respectively.

The 3C’s Jorrocks Polo Championships took place on 10th August, the remaining 3C’s Polo Championships at Cowdray Park from 12th-14th August.
