British riders competing in Chantilly, France enjoyed a successful weekend. James Davenport from Knutsford, Cheshire won the Chantilly Grand Prix riding Martin Dawes’ 9 year old gelding, For Fun with Tim Stockdale from Roade, Northampton taking 10th place with Diane Jay-Ing’s, Animation.

Tim Stockdale also came second in 1.35m Table A with John Bosher’s Fresh Direct Glenwood Springs and was 4th in the 1.40m 2Phase with Colin Garrats Una Van Brokenbroeck.

The 1.40m Table A was dominated by British riders with Robert Bevis from Wrexham, Clwyd taking second place on board Hosire des Chaines; Hannah Paul from Hemel Hempstead, Herts in 5th place with Saffier vd Brandkreek; Ben Maher from Bishop’s Stortford, Herts riding Alfredo in 6th place and Tim Stockdale with Fresh Direct Glenwood Springs in 8th place.

Carl Curtis from Goole, N Humberside and Graham Lovegrove from Halstead, Essex competed at CSI 3* Pinerolo, Italy over the weekend. Both riders were placed in Sunday’s 1.50m Pinerolo Grand Prix. Carl Curtis was 6th riding his own 9 year old gelding Panacee and Graham Lovegrove was 8th with Sarah Hancock’s 12 year old gelding Galisco d’Or.

Earlier that day Graham won the 1.40m Accumulator with Huron des Gerbaus and on Saturday was 1st in the 1.45m 2Phase riding Dirak du Don Jon, both horses are owned by Connectix Ltd.

In Saturdays Young Horse 1.30m 2Phase, Carl was second on his own 7 year old KWPN gelding, Salvador II, by Landuer and was 6th in Sunday’s 1.30m Table A.

Dale Burnham from Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire was placed second and third in the Grand Prix. Dale rode his own 11 year old gelding, Cherubin 8 by Continue and Timothy and Antonia Brown’s 8 year old gelding Cointreau Z by Calvaro Z at CS12* Lezirias, Portugal.
