 Hickstead gets a role

(17 March, 2008)

The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead, has been included within London 2012's Pre-Games Training Camp Guide.

This means that Hickstead's extensive facilities will be available to teams competing in equestrian events at the Olympic Games. These facilities include two all-weather arenas and permanent stabling. Arrangements have been made with local hotels to accommodate officials and riders.

Director Lizzie Bunn said: "We are pleased that Hickstead has been selected to host some of the 2012 competitors and will have a role to play in this extremely important event.

"We have hosted European and World Championships and it is satisfying to play a part in the Olympic Games when they come to this country."
